Always be bold enough to use your voice
Brave enough to listen to your heart
And strong enough to love the life you always imagined
It is that time of the year where we begin our ‘End of Year Celebrations’ starting with farewelling our 2021 Year 12 students. It was a very special week, as we celebrated the incredible achievements of our 2021 graduating class.
Over the past 5 years, our Year 12 students have always demonstrated
- Great courage
- Determination
- Persistence
- Bravery
- Whilst always fighting for a great sense of justice.
Through it all, our Year 12 students have taught us about life, standing up for what they believe in and most importantly about unconditional love.
Whilst this time is filled with mixed emotions for our Year 12 students, it is also a time to reflect on how they have enriched our community, and the many choices that they will be presented with, in the future. Our hope is that they leave Kildare as young women of faith and spirituality, young women of service, young women of courage and young women with a love of learning. Our prayer is that the students continue to evolve, explore what lies outside their comfort zone, and awaken to all the opportunities ahead.
Our 2021 Graduation Mass theme last Tuesday centred on, ‘You are the salt of the earth’ from Matthew’s Gospel. Father Mathew used the acronym GPS in the homily to highlight his message to our young people.
G is for God.
God is at the centre of our lives and each of us have been created uniquely so that we can find our place in the world.
P is for Parents.
Parents and families sacrifice so much for their children so they are able to support and navigate them in the right direction, whilst always listening, supporting and loving them.
S is for Service.
Always think about giving and providing service to those in need.
Father Mathew highlighted that we are all here to support one another and to embed our Kildare Core Values in all that we do, now and into the future. He reinforced the importance of learning to love each other and to let the light shine on all that we do.
We sincerely thank Father Mathew Raj for his inspirational words during the Mass and his commitment to Kildare. After the Mass, we presented the 2021 Academic Dux and Service Awards. The award recipients are named later in the newsletter.
Last Friday, we came together as a College community to celebrate, reflect and embrace life after Kildare. There were many laughs and some tears, sharing the many incredible moments that have shaped this very special 2021 cohort. Throughout their time at Kildare, this cohort has always demonstrated great strength and gentleness.
Their strength has been depicted everyday with their fierce spirit of acting with justice, their courage, bravery and determination with all that they have done.
Their gentleness has always been displayed with the way they held everyone together in faith, hope and love during the good and challenging times.
We also graciously thank all of our families and staff in educating, supporting, mentoring and loving our young people into who they are today. We are very proud of all of the students and please know that they will always be part of the Kildare Community.
We hope that our students always aim high and dream great things, embracing all that they have experienced at Kildare whilst continuing to evolve. We pray they go with God’s blessing in whatever path they choose to take – the best is yet to come!
Be who you are
Do what you love
And go where you heart leads you.
Best wishes always
