Have you seen our newly transformed Front Reception and Student Reception?
We have been hard at work at Kildare, updating this space and replacing the Front Reception Desk that has served the College for over 30 years!
This refreshment offers a contemporary, welcoming, and spacious environment, complementing our College Captains Board, Principal's Board, and Graduation Hallway Display.
During Term 3, our Year 8 HASS students have been contributing to world peace through their study of Shogunate Japan.
They learnt about Sadako Sasaki, a young girl affected by the Hiroshima bombing, who began folding 1000 paper cranes in hope of healing, but unfortunately never finished her cranes.
Inspired by her story, our students have created their own cranes, wishing for an end to war, global peace, and nuclear disarmament. These 1,000 cranes will be sent to the Children’s Peace Memorial in Hiroshima, joining others from schools worldwide in a powerful statement of solidarity.
Well done to all of our Year 8 students.
Last week, our Year 7 students experienced World of Maths! Through engaging and interactive activities, our students enjoyed solving mathematical equations, through collaborating with each other and were surprised by how much Maths is used in everyday life.

What a beautiful celebration of the kindness within our Kildare students and our local community.
We are proud to unveil our beautiful Collaborative Mosaic piece; a result of the efforts by staff from Kildare College and other Kildare Ministries' schools.
This incredible piece, designed by our Creative Industries Coordinator Brittany Neeb, saw staff connect and work with each other, to bring to life a piece of art that represents who we are, as part of the celebration of the Kildare Ministries 10 Year Anniversary Conference.
Using mosaic tiles, the table features symbols of importance to our community including Kildare County, Ireland (where we take our name), Oak Leaves, Lamp of Learning, St Brigid's Cross, St Brigid's Cathedral and State Floral Emblems.
Wellbeing Week at Kildare has been filled with a variety of experiences. Students had opportunity to play games, enjoy karaoke, wear their tracksuits, relax with mindful movement, keep active through an oval run competition, and purchase 'Ignite' cookies, organised by our Student Leadership Team supporting Wellsprings for Women.
Held on R U OK? Day, we welcomed special guest speaker, Vicky Welgraven AM, a leader who advocates and empowers people, driving positive change across organisations and community works. Also mother to Khlyeesha, past College Captain, Vicky Welgraven AM spoke about her achievements, challenges, leadership and the importance of taking care of each other and being agents of positive change. We also acknowledged and congratulated our Kildare Mentors who volunteer to support others in the community showcasing gratitude and kind generosity of spirit.
We are reminded to lift each other up, that each one of us is unique and precious and that asking for help can be the bravest thing we can do in times of challenge.
Taking an enterprising approach to their learning through the Future Anything Program, our students were excited to present their innovative business ideas at our 2024 RISE Winter Exhibition! The warm afternoon made a for a lovely showcase space in our Plaza, where our Year 9 students pitched creative inventions and ideas for solutions to various challenges, our Year 10 students made hot chocolates, and our musicians entertained our community.
'Ignite' our Student Leadership Team initiative supporting Wellsprings for Women, came to life in lantern form last week!
Our community created hundreds of lanterns that were turned into a collective artwork, representing the Wellsprings for Women Inc. logo. The lantern is a symbol that often represents light, guidance, and illumination, both literally and metaphorically. It can signify hope, knowledge, wisdom, or ignite a path forward through darkness.
We were delighted that Wellsprings for Women CEO, Dr Dalal Smiley, joined us to celebrate this fantastic initiative and share with us the incredible work this Australian Charity provides to women who are experiencing various challenges.
Our community can support this important cause by making a donation towards ‘Ignite’, helping Wellsprings for Women make a real difference in the lives of many.
