Congratulations to Tyler and Breeanna on their award-winning podcast! Both Year 9 students were awarded the Student Voice Award for their extremely brave and powerful Podcast, 'Truth with Tyler', at the Arch D Radio & Podcasting Awards. Well done Tyler and Breeanna!
What a show! Our Kildare production of Seussical Jr was one of colour, nostalgia and imagination.
We congratulate the entire production team for bringing our Musical together for our students, local primary schools, staff and families.
We are very proud of our performers and thank those who supported them and saw their talents shine!
That's a wrap! Our Parents and Friends Committee organised a Christmas Stall, filled with many goodies for our community to purchase. The very popular stall included treats, games, stationery, kitchen accessories and more.
Thank you to our Parents and Friends Committee for organising this initiative.
What started as a simple enterprise idea for entry into the 2022 Future Anything National Finals, could become a viable commercial venture for Year 9 Kildare College student, Lara, after The Butterfly Foundation and the Women’s and Children's Hospital have both shown their support for the concept.
The Graduation Mass marks the first of many events of the final week of school for our Class of 2022. The Mass was a beautiful occasion to come together with our Year 12 students and their families, to reflect on their learning journey at the College and offer them our blessings for the future.
The College grounds were overrun with colour for the 2022 Year 12 Presentation Day!
As is tradition, students presented a decorated white shirt which was hung over the College fence – they looked fantastic and reflected the individuality of our students’ personalities. The Year 12 students also came together for a shared lunch on their last day of formal lessons.
The Class of 2022, started their last day with the annual Year 12 Breakfast, sharing many fond memories and stories of their time spent together over the years with their families and friends. Then they headed back to the College for an emotional farewell. The entire College community gathered for their Farewell Assembly, to celebrate their time with us and wish them well for their life beyond Kildare.
The final celebration saw our Class of 2022 at the Graduation Dinner with their family and friends. What a wonderful night it was!
Our Tullow Centre was a hub of excitement as we held our Visual Art, Design and Material Solutions Exhibition, catered by our Year 11 Food and Hospitality class.
We applaud all of the students for their extraordinary work and in particular the Year 12 students - who have completed their final major piece.
Congratulations to all.
Term 3 concluded with our wonderfully talented vocal ensemble taking to the Festival Theatre stage, for the Catholic Schools Music Festival, which provides an incredible opportunity to celebrate and showcase their wonderful work.
Once again, the choirs were supported by our very own rhythm section every night of the Festival. We are so proud of you all.
Term 3 came to an end with Brigid House holding an R U OK? themed assembly.
The College community purchased cookies to raise funds for R U OK?, created friendship bracelets and wore a yellow ribbon in support and acknowledgement of the initiative.
R U OK? reminds everyone, that every day, is the day to ask 'Are you okay?'
House banners are now proudly displayed in the gym as a symbol of our College community. Our House names, honour those who have come before us and whose influence remains relevant, even today.
What do you get when you want a bit of everything? A grazing box!
Our Year 12 Food and Hospitality students created delicious grazing boxes for staff, featuring savoury and sweet treats. The practical allowed students to test their creative skills and cater for those with various dietary requirements.
