We are thrilled to announce that Kildare College has been honoured with a prestigious award through Catholic Education South Australia (CESA) in the category of Innovative Program for our exceptional Graduate Program.
Today was the day! Rain or shine, on Friday of Week 2, we, the Kildare Student Leadership Team walked 23km in solidarity with the Childhood Cancer Association. By partaking in this fundraiser, we endeavour to embody the essence of Courage – our Core Value for 2023. By walking in solidarity for those who are the most courageous, we hoped to support families with their ongoing battle.
The Year 12 Student Leadership Team at Kildare College are gearing up to undertake a charity walk to raise funds for the Childhood Cancer Association. The event, called "Walk the Walk", will take place on Friday 12 May, and will see the eight student leaders walking 23 kilometres each, which is equivalent to nearly 60 laps of the College oval.
The initiative is entirely self-initiated and student-driven, with the 2023 Student Leaders aiming to raise $1500 for the cause. Throughout the walk, the Student Leaders will keep the community updated on their progress and will be joined by staff, dignitaries, and special guests from the community.
College Captains, Jessica and Zahra commented, "Walk the Walk is an excellent opportunity for the student leaders to demonstrate the College's Core Values, particularly courage and integrity. The event is a chance to make meaningful change for a cause they are passionate about and inspire others in the community to do the same".
The Childhood Cancer Association is a not-for-profit organisation that provides practical, hands-on support to children with cancer and their families. As one of Australia's key childhood cancer support organisations, they rely on donations from the community to continue providing their invaluable services.
Tina Neate, Principal of Kildare College, expressed her pride in the Student Leaders' efforts, stating, "Their mission to raise money for the charity is a shining example of the College's Core Values in action. The College is delighted to see such passion and dedication from its students and is confident that they will achieve great things together".

On the 17 of March two Year 12 students and two staff members attended a Women in Sport brunch at the National Wine Centre. The event was organised by Adelaide University Sport and hosted by radio presenter Ali Clarke.
Kildare College is a proud all-girls' school that focuses on empowering young women to reach their full potential. The College believes gender should not be a barrier to success, and encourages its students to break down gender stereotypes and pursue their dreams.
International Women's Day is a significant occasion for Kildare College as it provides an opportunity to celebrate the achievements of women and promote gender equality.
On Wednesday, our Year 12 Student Leadership Team attended a sold-out event, hosted by the City of Tea Tree Gully to support our local International Women's Day Event. Adelaide-based singer-songwriter and businesswoman Amity Dry, highlighted important topics about women's ongoing drive for equality, reflecting the 2023 theme #EmbraceEquity. Our students also valued connecting with the community including the Mayor of Tea Tree Gully, Marijka Ryan.
At the College, our students participated by wearing purple accessories, writing affirmations and gifting affirmations to all staff members for inspiring the next generation of women.
As a student-centred College, Kildare plays a vital role in advocating for women and supporting their leadership every day. At Kildare, we encourage students to be bold and ambitious and break down gender stereotypes whilst being kind and considerate. By attending events such as the International Women's Day celebration, the students show their support for women's rights and gain valuable insights and skills necessary to become successful leaders and have a strong voice.
Our 2023 College Captains and Prefects remind us that we have the power to shape the next generation of women. Kildare is influencing the next generation of women, and we, as leaders, are honoured to be a part of that story. In the words of Michelle Obama, "There is no limit to what we as women can accomplish." Together, let us continue to push the boundaries, break down barriers, and blaze new trails. We can create a world where every girl and woman can thrive.
Happy International Women's Day. We are proud of every single student.
Today we came together as a College community to give thanks to God for the beginning of the academic year.
Our theme for our Mass was Courage, our Core Value for 2023. The readings in the Mass called us to understand our place in the world, to be brave enough to ask for what we need, while reminding us that Jesus is with us every step of the way.
Families are the primary educators of their children and so it was with great enthusiasm that we welcomed the families of our Year 7 and Year 12 students to the Tullow Centre last week. The evenings were marked by a strong, positive sense of community.
It was a wonderful official start to the year today, where we gathered as a whole College community for Girls' Achieve Day. Reconnecting with each other, and building new friendships, while participating in activities and celebrating community; we set sail with anticipation for a fantastic 2023.
Recently, the Kildare College Community gathered at the Norwood Swimming Centre for the first Swimming Carnival in a number of years. We were blessed with warm weather and students were able to enjoy a day in the pool.
