The Harmony Week theme 'Everyone Belongs' came to life at Kildare last week through a variety of activities.
Our community wore orange ribbons to celebrate the day, collaborated on an art piece, and were treated to a special Harmony Day Concert, performed by our Senior Years Music students.
It was a fantastic Friday for our Class of 2024, with the early arrival of the Year 12 Jackets. Presented by House Leaders, the students were so excited to show their new jackets to the rest of the College.
Last week, our Years 10 and 11 students welcomed back Amity Dry to share her inspiring story and journey as an Australian Singer, Songwriter, and Real Estate Agent. Exploring self value and being open to change, our students were grateful to hear Amity's experiences, to create positive change and embrace growth as 'now is the best time in history to be an emerging woman'.
Did you know that Kildare College takes its name from County Kildare in Ireland and that St Patrick is the patron saint of Ireland?
In honour of St Patrick's Day yesterday, our students enjoyed Iced Green Donuts today, and our staff gathered in Brigid's Place, dressed in green attire to enjoy some green treats.
Calligraphy, Traditional Dancing, Jester skills, displays of Armour and a visit from Ironclad Academy of the Sword Inc. could only mean one thing...Year 8 Medieval Fair!

POSITIVITY | EMPOWERMENT | SUPPORT was evident today as our community celebrated International Women's Day!
This special day full of 'purple' is always an exciting event in the College calendar; not only celebrating women across the globe but celebrating all girls' education.
Our Year 12 Student Leaders supported our local International Women's Day event at the City of Tea Tree Gully Library. They engaged with keynote speaker, Tracy Crisp, an Adelaide based writer and performer, and connected with Marijka Ryan Tea Tree Gully Mayor, Olivia Savvas MP for Newland and Rhiannon Pearce MP for King.
At Kildare, our students wore purple ribbons, wrote affirmations and gifted them to all students and staff members.
International Women's Day is a global day celebrating the achievements of women and marks a call to action for accelerating women's equality.
Today we came together as a College community for our Opening College Mass 'Hopeful Hearts'. It was an opportunity to celebrate and reflect on our Core Value of Hope; reminding us that hope is what guides our aspirations, dreams and goals. and our faith adds another dimension to hope, as the two virtues are interrelated.
Recently, our Student Leaders attended and actively participated in multiple leadership workshops across Adelaide; the GRIP Leadership Conference and National Young Leaders Day.
The overall theme of the 2 days highlighted messages on leadership; asking students to be brave, to practice and encourage resilience and to use compassion and empathy when leading others.
Our students also enjoyed meeting with The Honourable Peter Malinauskas MP, Premier of South Australia. Year 10 Student Leaders Mia and Hridini thanked The Premier for his inspiring speech to 400 students from across Adelaide.
