Kildare teacher Mr Andrew Crosby has umpiried SANFL matches and has recently been awarded the Golden Whistle, acknowledging him as the best umpire in the amateur league. 

Here are some of the highlights of Andrew's umpiring career:

• Umpired with the SANFL from 2005 until 2020
• Umpired 267 SANFL League games
• Umpired 3 SANFL League Grand Finals (2014, 2016, 2019)
• Umpired 2 State games (SA v WA)
• SANFL Umpire Life Member
• 2021 – Umpired with the Adelaide Football League
• Officiated the Division 1 Grand Final
• Awarded the Casey Cooper Medal for best umpire of the year
