The ‘Life in the Uni Lane’ Conference was held earlier this term. This program was designed for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students in Years 8 and 9 to come together and experience university courses through exciting and practical workshops.
Kildare College students Natalia, Tamsyn, Chelsea and Paige attended. The conference is a wonderful opportunity for the students to hear other Aboriginal university students share their experiences about life at university.
Engaging in interactive courses that are offered at Flinders University, including; The Museum of Art, Sports, Health and Physical Activity and STEM, gave the students valuable insight into the facilities and opportunities available to them beyond school.
