Career Information Reports

17.08.18

Year 8C have been investigating future careers with the goal of writing an information report to inform students about a range of careers. This week was the showcase of their reports via a Gallery Walk. Gallery Walks is a discussion and feedback technique that allows students to be actively engaged as they walk through the classroom and share their ideas. The information reports were hung around the classroom along with the students visual representations of the career (we even had one student play the ukulele for us). In this instance we used two ‘I like’ prompts and one ‘I wonder’ prompt and students wrote their positive and constructive feedback on sticky notes. Each report received a minimum of three pieces of instant feedback.

In the coming weeks students will use this feedback to write their next information report on their new topic: Children experiencing poverty: What is justice for the poor?
