Kildare College - COVID 19 Update - 4/08/21

04 August 2021

Dear Families

Hope that you are well. It is reassuring to know that many of our families are now coming out of quarantine and all is okay to date.

Once again, we would like to thank you for all that you did to support the online learning last week - you did a great job!

Just for your information, in line with the announcements from the Premier and SA Health and following advice from Catholic Education SA, please note the following arrangements that will be in place at Kildare from Thursday, 5 August 2021.

Resumption of the following activities

• Assemblies

• Co-curricular activities

• Incursions and excursions (provided that venues are using an approved COVID-Safe or COVID Management plan)

• Events held at offsite venues with approved COVID-Safe or COVID Management plans

• Events held within the College (e.g. performances and concerts) providing:

o density requirements and physical distancing requirements are met by all attending adults

o masks are worn by adults and students who are not performing

o all attendees must COVID-Safe check-in.

• College sports including interschool competition will resume but with restrictions on spectators

Masks

• Students in Years 7 to 12 and staff are still required to wear a mask.

• Students are required to wear a mask when travelling on school buses and public transport.

• There are exemptions for mask wearing for students or staff who have a medical condition.

Families/Adults Attendance on campus

• Families are respectfully asked to please not enter the College unless it is absolutely necessary to do so.

• All adults (including staff) to wear masks and COVID-Safe check-in each time they enter the campus.

In light of this advice about minimising visitors to the College, only students who are receiving awards at our scheduled Academic Assembly on Tuesday 10 August will be attending the presentation. We understand that families may be disappointed, but students will be photographed with their award and the photograph will be emailed home.

Please note that due to the changing nature of the pandemic, events and excursions may be cancelled with minimal notice. We will continue to update families as needed.

Please let us know if you have any queries.

We are praying that everyone stays safe.

As always, students should not attend school if they are unwell or are required to self-isolate/quarantine by SA Health. Please inform the College if this is the case. Thank you to those families that have already done so.

Fees

Finally, we take this opportunity to remind you, that if for any reason you have experienced financial difficulties and you are concerned about the fees, please contact our Business Manager, Lil Mader, lmader@kildare.catholic.edu.au by email and we can arrange for the College to assist in your particular situation.

We look forward to welcoming back your daughters tomorrow.
